Measuring tape
We are in that time of year when the weather is getting warmer, the days are sunnier and the nights are longer, especially if you have daylight savings.  So, with all these natural occurrences happening around us we find that we love to entertain outside, enjoy a BBQ, a few drinks, sit around the fire pit and have a laugh or two with friends and family. You may find that your outdoor cushions are looking a little tired and rundown, or you may be in the process of building a new seating area for outside and would like to know how you can make these areas inviting and comfortable for you and your guests. Revamping your existing outdoor chair cushions or creating an inviting outdoor space, is not as difficult as it may seem. Read on to find out how…

Daybed Covers

Daybed covers come in all shapes and sizes, from rectangular to round and those in-between. When measuring your rectangular daybed insert there are only a few measurements we need: Length x Width x Depth Daybed cover & cushion dimensions If your daybed is circular then we only need 2 measurements, see our diagram below: Diameter(across the middle of the circle) x Depth Round Daybed Dimensions It’s that simple…

Outdoor Cushions

What about outdoor chair cushions you may ask… Let’s take Bolster cushions first, these cushions are usually used for arm/back support or for decorative purpose.  By measuring the Diameter (across the middle of the circle) x Length we can give you an idea of cost. Bolster Cushion dimensions     Throw cushions come in all shapes and sizes, depending on the size of the insert you have or want to get, will depend on the size of the cover.  For a plump filled out cushion you should always go up a size for your insert.  For example, if you have a 45cm x 45cm cover you should have a 50cm x 50cm insert.  Similarly, a 60cm x 60cm cover will need a 65cm x 65cm insert. This will give you plump and filled out custom cushions that will look inviting on any day! Throw Cushions   Even outdoor cushion covers that are a different shape to the normal can be done, see one of our examples below: Outdoor cushions in odd sizes are no problem! I hope this has made measuring a little clearer and you are now confident and ready to tackle your outdoor living space with more enthusiasm. No job is too big or too small and if you do have an odd shape we are happy to help.
